Wine Blogging Wednesday Updates
jack and Joanne have posted their round-up for Wine Blogging Wednesday #41: Friuli White Wines. There was quite a bit of Tocai Friulano and Pinot Grigio (which is what I tasted) but not much overlap between specific wines. The next assignment is ready, and listen, folks, cause this one’s a bit wacky. Ready? Wine Blogging Wednesday #42: Just Seven Words. Andrew at Spittoon got the idea from a BBC music station, and he’s not sure how this will relate to tasting notes. I’m not either, but the poet in me is willing to give it a go.
As he instructs, the finished tasting note must make sense and be grammatically correct(ish). The wine name, type, producer, vintage do not have to be included in the 7. But a reference to aroma, flavour, length, food matching should be considered. Inventiveness is the key.

I think for WBW#42 I’ll “craft” seven “artisan-style” petrogasms - akin, of course, to 7000 words.

Very clever, Russ. And you just gave me an idea.
Thanks for stopping by. Haven’t seen you in a while. And of course, you’re always welcome to stop by in ‘real life’ at the winery!

Wow, tasting notes in seven words. This modified Haiku is going to be tough, but maybe fun! At least we get to taste an Italian red.

Believe me, Farley, I want to! Almost did stop by recently but your neighbors next door ran out of absinthe so I went to work. :( Soon, though!
