This Welcome Wagon Serves Wine

the welcome spreadAfter a long day at work, circling the airport a few times, and the short drive from Oakland, it was time to welcome KB, California style. I had gotten up that morning and made my semi-famous olive and cream cheese spread, along with my mama’s potato salad (Ok, the dip was her recipe too, but I claim it most days). So when we arrived, I loaded up the cheese plate with those and some tasty Sopressata and cambozola cheese.

For the wine glasses, I opened the last of my first wine club shipment from Domaine Carneros: the Brut Rose’. It went well with the saltiness of the meat, and the homemade items, as that’s the only way I cook. And not to fear even if that was the last bottle….we had plans to visit Domaine Carneros the very next day.
