Poll Reminder:Do You Have My Sickness?

by Farley on March 5th, 2008

Just a reminder about my poll, as I’ll be closing it on Friday. I’m trying to see if other people suffer from the same problem I have: being unable to say no to buying wine, especially when at the winery.  No matter the budget or space issues, I have to give in.  No backing away slowly.

And from the looks of things, I’m not the only one.

Let me know where you stand….

When out on a winetasting adventure, how many bottles do you purchase in an average day?

Okay, so in any given wine trip, we visit at least 3 wineries, because it’s such a hike for us to get out there.

A day in VA wine country usually nets me between 1-2 cases.

And I’m a little horrified to admit that we averaged 3 cases a day on each of our two trips to Sonoma….the first trip we came home with over 16 cases of wine, and the second, 7 cases.

holy cow Megan that is awesome. haha

for 2.5 days in napa we bought 2.5 cases which I thought was a lot plus signed up for a few wine clubs. Your average on va wine country is about the same as us. We usually visit 3-4 wineries and come home with about a case or so, obviously depending on how much we like it.

so see farely, you aren’t alone. We are all sick. haha
    cheers
    John

Jeez, I’m going to wineries with Megan and John. I’m a 4-6 girl. Around bottle #4 I start getting all nervous and fiscally responsible.

    Megan and John,
Thanks for making me feel better, y’all.

I agree, Dr.Debs….when are we going?

I got my fix! I visited wineries in Clarksburg and the Shanedoah region and I bought many more bottles than I planned to.
