Getting on the Righter (Lighter) Track
In my last Jackson Free Press column, I talked about getting over the overindulgence of the holiday season and shooting for a healthier meal plan. This is true through January, cause if you’ve been anything like me, these gloomy days of cold and rain have made it harder to exercise. Since I can’t cut wine out of my routine–Why would I want to? And what would I write about?– that means eating better. Part of that is not eating out as much these days, which is also handy on the budget. So I give two recipes with wine pairings in that article, although as the picture shows, you can change up the sandwich by serving it with goat cheese, red peppers, and basil pesto, along with a salad dressed in citrus vinaigrette–with a Sauvignon Blanc.
