Catching Up a Bit: Wine and Otherwise
Things have been extra hectic at work these days, what with several events over the past couple weeks and this coming one bringing my next wine seminar and a staff meeting. But today is my day to catch up on my blog reading. Here’s what’s going on elsewhere around the sphere:
Tom Wark tells us that wine bloggers are bought and paid for. Many fellow bloggers give their ‘agreement,’ but I’m still waiting on my check.
Josh at Pinotblogger takes issue with Gary Vaynerchuk’s change in attitude towards certain producers and regions. Power can be dangerous in the wrong hands and what’s to come if one of the biggest names in the recent wine world says that California Pinot Noir is no good? Don’t worry, Josh, I’ll still be drinking it….
And on a lighter note, MonkuWine digresses a bit to discuss Twitter and his Wannbe Index requirements. I feel him, though, in that sometimes it’s easy to get way behind in reading updates. And though I haven’t gotten it up on the sidebar yet, here’s my Twitter page, if you’re interested to follow.
I haven’t had much activity on Wine Outlook recently, but I did have a pretty terrific vertical tasting this weekend that I just wrote about. Planchon Zinfandel, anyone?
Elsewhere around the Lifestyles channel:
Cyndi dishes up what sounds extra yummy: Sardinian lamb and cous cous on Busy Family Meals.
Get your laugh on with Heather’s hilarious excerpt from diaries of both a dog and a cat and their very different outlooks on life.
And Jennifer gives motivation for organization with a mini-office area I would love to have.
Cheers and happy reading.
